Finished for the moment

Here is that look from Gracie again.

Thanks for being patient while I reorganised the blog. I still have some minor tweaks to make but the majority of it is done. I hope you like it.  I think it's much easier to read. It might have seemed to take a while but I was doing other things - like housework - as well. We have Shane and the kids coming over tomorrow so there were beds to make and ironing to put away. I've done some cooking too so there are healthy snacks in the fridge when someone says: "I'm hungry, grandma."

I hope you have a good weekend. It looks like it will rain on and off here but I won't be complaining about the - I love the rain.  See you next week. 🐔

  1. It is very clean and clear Rhonda which really makes it easy to follow. It feels calm. Your new introduction under your photo is great. Congratulations on your tenth year of blogging.

Oh and I am so glad I found you :)

  3. You blog revamp looks great Rhonda. I just thought that you might lick to know, that on my iPad , the last part of each line of your introduction is partially cut off. Some lines have two letters dropped and some just one, others have none. Not a criticism, just for your information. Cheers.

  4. It's a very 'pretty' redesign, I really like it. Gracie is so cute. From what you have said about Gracie and all the photos - she has lots of similarities to my 5 year old West Highland Terrier named Jock, apart from the colour. I hope you have a lovely time with your family this weekend Lisa J. Tasmania.

    1. I don't know if you are aware of a television series put out by BBC Scotland, but there is one called Hamish MacBeth, which is about a small town policeman who owns a Westie called Jock. It is a charming presenation, and can still be seen if you have not already! I think it ran for about three years around 1995 or so. Jock features quite regularly in it.

    3. Yes I loved Hamish Macbeth. That is where the name came from. His name on his papers is Wee Jock as in Hamish Macbeth.

  5. Wow that is a big change, Rhonda. Is that a Blogger template? I really must do something about mine but am not sure if I can stand the stress. LOL! Yours looks great though.

    1. Thanks Chel. It's not a blogger template. I made the header, the rest is one of the new responsive templates that I hope will transfer well to phones and tablets. I'm still tweaking it and there are a couple of things I'll have to change.

  9. When I read the header 'Finished for the moment' I was scared that you would be taking a timeout, but gladly found out that you were referring to the restyling. It looks beautiful and clean, well done.
I don't know if you'll be doing the Weekend Reading today, but perhaps you could include a link to the documentary 'Down to earth' (great title) about a Dutch family leaving the rat race and start a journey to gather the wisdom of the Keepers of the earth. Search for 'Down to earth documentary' and you should find a link or a trailer.
Enjoy the company of your family this weekend! Love, Sander

  15. BEAUTIFUL!! It's so calm, Rhonda...lovely blog layout indeed. Have a wonderfully rainy weekend. We have a cyclone approaching so as much as we don't want the destruction we do need water in the Townsville dam rather desperately. I'm praying it crosses land without much fuss but brings plenty of rain over the catchment.

  16. I was also anxious that the header meant you were closing your blog.
It felt as though the door of friends was being slammed shut!
I read the post and heaved a sigh of relief especially when I worked out how to find the archives which I often dip into.
Have a happy time with your family. Sue
